SINTEF AS is Scandinavia's largest independent research organisation and is a non-profit research foundation. SINTEF employs 2000 people most of whom are located in Trondheim and Oslo (Norway). More than 90% of company's annual turnover derives from contract research for industry and the public sector in Norway and internationally.

SINTEF DIGITAL, that represents SINTEF in this consortium is well known as the foremost applied research institute in Norway and abroad. The 400 researchers working at SINTEF DIGITAL provide research-based expertise, services and products within areas ranging from micro-technology, through communication and software technology, computational software and information systems to security and safety.
